These picture-perfect light green mini heads of lettuce are great for containers but irresistible to all gardeners. Resembling an illustration from a storybook, there are good reasons that this old English heirloom dating back to 1850 is still going strong. It’s fast to mature, highly uniform, tolerant of both heat and frost, and manages to be both succulent and crunchy at the same time. Plus,  did we mention it’s off-the-chart CUTENESS? It’s the perfect variety for a balcony garden and very fun for kids. Direct sow in full sun to light shade through Spring and late Summer for Fall harvest.
