Assistant Manager - Ballard Flagship Store

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Good & Well Supply Co. in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors, retail leadership experience, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding shopping experiences. 

Hours: 35-40 hours per week

Shift: weekdays, weekends & evenings, occasional holidays

Pay: $23-26 plus generous employee discounts 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Support the Store Manager in daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient store functioning 
  • Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences 
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance store presentation and drive sales 
  • Provide superior customer service by engaging with customers, addressing their needs, and resolving issues promptly 
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying opportunities for growth and implementing strategies to increase revenue 
  • Uphold operational excellence through inventory management, loss prevention, and compliance with company policies 
  • Ensure the safety and security of the store by implementing best practices for theft prevention, security measures, and safety procedures 
  • Support recruiting, training, and developing team members to foster a positive and productive work environment 
  • Collaborate with outside leadership and corporate initiatives to meet business objectives 

Qualifications:

  • Proven retail leadership experience, preferably in a similar role 
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team 
  • Knowledge of visual merchandising best practices 
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop effective strategies 
  • A proactive, energetic, and solutions-oriented mindset 
  • A passion for the outdoors and outdoor lifestyle products is highly preferred 
  • Knowledge of store security, theft prevention strategies, and safety protocols
