I came across this brand of candles while idlign in Soho, NY. I immediately loved the smell and bought 2- small cans at a store. The scent is fantastic; you will feel like a tropical island vibe; it fills the entire room. I have a reasonably big home with high ceilings. I didn't have issues with the small pint candles. I went on to order more from this site and ended up with 5 Everglades with the wood wick; sadly, the 14oz candle for $36 didn't burn through; the wood wick, which was not set at the very bottom, left well over 1 1/2 inches of unburned wax and no-more wick. While I understand the theory behind the can getting hot if the wick was set too low, possibly causing a fire/ hazardous situation (common sense if you are lighting a can on fire even with 7 inches of wax left), I felt impractical and cheated. I emailed them and asked if we could switch to the cotton wick for the rest of the unlit ones, at least one, to try; it was my mistake that I got all of them in the woodwork and what a poor answer I received. I was saddened, as I am all about supporting small businesses, but I learned a lesson. To clarify, I emailed after their 7-day return policy. I placed the order on Dec 17, during the height of the holiday season and emailed them about it on Jan 22, 2025. I sought a more considerate answer; I will not re-purchase them.
