I love the earthy, aromatic scent of this candle. However, it's a little too subtle and doesn't fill the space well. Needs to be put in a small space to really smell it.
CAUTION: This candle constantly had me worried!!! Even while supervised. I followed all the safety precautions like trimming the wick, keeping it on a non-meltable surface, even only burning for 30min at a time etc.
The metal can/container it comes in gets dangerously hot! So much so the label melted! This container just radiates heat in a scary way.
I understand wanting to make it as sustainable and recyclable as possible, but if I were to ever buy a candle from here again, it would need to be in or something that isn't red-hot metal.
Andrew, we are taking this review extremely seriously, as we have not received feedback like this on any of our candles before. We already do extensive testing on all of our products, but we are bringing this one back to the drawing board to do even more testing on our end. The only time we have ever seen anything like this happen is when a candle has been left burning for 4+ hours, usually overnight, or when there's hardly any wax left in the vessel when it's lit. We're going to email you privately to put you in touch with our founder--she hopes to get more info from you, so we can try to recreate this and/or figure out what's going on, and especially so we can make this right for you. Smells great with a subtlety assertive aroma. Really enjoy this in my bedroom, has definitely inspired lovemaking.
